Riviera del Sol is located on the Mijas Costa, Costa del Sol, Southern Spain. It nestles between Miraflores and Calahonda. Marbella to the west is approximately 10 minutes drive as is Fuengirola to the east. Malaga airport is less than 30 mins drive. The urbanisation of Riviera del Sol is a combination of residential and holiday properties. Everything you need is close to hand at Riviera Plaza, a new shopping complex incorporating a supermarket, numerous retail outlets and a bank as well as several bars and restaurants. A second supermarket Opencor is open 18 hours a day, ideal for people arriving late at night! Opposite this supermarket is a taxi rank, where for a few euros you will be able to get to places like Cabopino and La Cala, to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Very close to the apartment is The Aztec Country Club, which has tennis courts, mini golf, gym, pool tables, a sports bar, hairdressers, beauty salon, Italian Restaurant and American style Diner. Our spacious 2 bedroom ground floor apartment is situated in the residential community of Pueblo Don Miguel. Positioned southwesterly, overlooking a private shared pool set in beautiful mature landscaped gardens with plenty of shade. There are numerous top class Golf Courses within easy reach. The nearest beach is approx 10 mins walk with more beautiful beaches about 5 mins drive away making it an ideal location for families, couples and golfers. Accommodation comprises, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom that can convert to a triple with the use of a single pull out bed. One shower room with walk in shower, washbasin and toilet, 1 en-suite to master bedroom with bath, shower over, washbasin, toilet and bidet. Both bedrooms have patio doors leading onto a large terrace area. They have plenty of storage space and the master bedroom has a safe. The large lounge/diner has two double sofas that convert to double beds, a dining table and chairs seating six, and a TV, DVD and CD player. The well-equipped kitchen has full cooking facilities including microwave, oven and hob, toaster, electric kettle, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron and board. The lounge terrace overlooks the pool area and has patio furniture. Steps from the terrace lead down to the beautiful gardens and pool. N.B. Airport transfers can be arranged, please contact owner. |

Buses run every 25 minutes along the coast road to Fuengirola and Marbella and beyond. Head west for approx 10 mins and you will find Cabopino. There is a lovely beach here and water sports are available. There is a beautiful marina and plenty of good restaurants including the famous Alberts. Here, if you are lucky, you may be able to dine with celebrities. A further 10 mins west you will find Marbella with it’s beautiful beaches and beautiful people. Next is Puerto Banus, this is the place to be. The chic marina is surrounded by restaurants, bars and designer shops. Enjoy a drink at one of the numerous bars overlooking the marina and just people watch, you won’t be disappointed. Further on is the lovely resort of Estepona which boasts a fantastic beach and attractive tree-lined promenade. Missing home? Then head towards Gibraltar. It is very easy to reach Gibraltar nowadays since the Toll road now goes all the way. If you have not been before then it’s worth a visit, even if it’s just to save money on drinks & cigarettes. Head east for approx 5 mins and you reach the charming resort of La Cala. Here is a lovely beach and lots of bars and restaurants. Market days at the Fair Ground are held Wednesdays and Saturdays. Heading east for a further 5 minutes or so is Fuengirola. Fuengirola is most famous for its five miles of sandy beaches which are well kept and clean. It also boasts the longest Paseo Maritimo (promenade) on the Costa del Sol and for the children there is the Aqua Park and Fuengirola Zoo. Continue east and before you reach Malaga you would find Benalmedena and Torremolinos, two very lively and much larger resorts. Head inland to the mountains and you will discover what some would refer to as the ‘Real Spain’. There are numerous ‘pueblo blancos’ (white villages) dotted all over this coast. Less than 20 minutes inland is one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol, the beautiful little village of Mijas, which nestles in the mountainside at 428 meters above sea level, The views are breathtaking. A must to visit. Further afield also worth visiting are Ronda, Casares and Granada. |
