Amalfi Amazing Apartment - Zambrone is a real gem of a centre. This historic town dates back to the 16th century and it delights with architectural gems round every corner. Its fairy tale setting is so romantic that visitors could be forgiven for wanting their holiday to go on for ever!

This apartment is large enough to accommodate a family of 6, with a double bed and a large sofa bed complete with good quality mattresses.

The apartment is nestled atop a cascading hillside development, the terrace presents the ocean through a panoramic experience and we guarantee you will spend many a joyous time just sitting of an evening on the terrace, whilst watching the sun set over the Stromboli volcano.

The owner of this apartment has furnished it throughout with a flair for style and a contemporary feel throughout. The apartment has a fully equiped kitchen, complete with all the essential cooking utensils.

Calabria is located in the southwest of Italy (the toe of the Italian boot) It deserves with its unbelievably rich history and culture to be more known than it is today. The nature, people, history and the traditions are what make Calabria what it is.

If you seek a peaceful oasis on a hilltop this is the place! Away from the bustle, yet within easy reach of activities. Enjoy days at the beach, or explore the countryside and villages. Book a boat trip to the Aeolians, and see Stromboli by night, departing Tropea or Vibo Marina. Drive (1.5 hours) down the coast and visit the Riace Bronzes at the museum in Reggio

Lamezia Terme airport is 35km from the apartment. Direct flights from Stanstead with Ryanair. Car hire is highly recommended. The Railway station is approximately 5mins from the Amalfi development with low cost trains to Tropea, Capo Vaticano, Reggio, Pizzo, Lamezia and other mainline stations further afield.

The rugged and wild Calabria countryside is ideal terrain in which to practise exhilarating activities like rock climbing, rafting and skiing. This mountainous region has some of the largest areas of untamed wilderness left in Italy with dense forests, lakes and caves. Immensely beautiful, it offers many challenges for those who thrive on adventure and is a haven for nature lovers with exotic flora and fauna and abundant wildlife.

The warm seas off the Calabrian coastline provide Italy's best diving and have the benefit of over 50 sunken wrecks to explore. Some date back to roman times and as late as the 1970's and offer unique underwater scenery that will challenge the most experienced scuba diver. Diving courses and live aboard cruises are available at some beach resorts and often include diving around the Sicily coastline.

Many colourful festivals take place in towns and villages throughout Calabria each year with origins going back many centuries. Vibrant parades and processions fill village squares often accompanied by games and music and provide excellent photo opportunities. In general they celebrate important religious dates and crop harvests and this is an ideal chance to sample delicious local food and wine in a traditional setting.
