Green Parrot Beach Houses, Belize, Central AmericaWe are a family owned, small Belize costal resort located in the southern part of Belize on the Placencia peninsula. The resort has a total of 8 units (or cabanas). All of the units are private and are located on a white sand beach overlooking the Caribbean. The resort has its own bar, restaurant, and gift shop. We can arrange all of your tours - both water and land based. This is a great location from which to explore Belize. You may remember that Harrison Ford made a movie called the Mosquito Coast. Well it was filmed in Belize - a very tropical Central American country. Once called British Honduras, Belize became independent in 1982. Belize is primarily an English speaking country, but our staff is also fluent in Spanish We get visitors from all over the world - they want to dive and snorkel along the worlds 2nd longest barrier reef, sport fish along our miles of mangrove, explore the Jaguar Preserve, visit Monkey River Village, kayak along the ocean, or visit a Mayan ruin. Some want to just come and spend time together relaxing on our white sand beach and perhaps read a book. We are also a charming destination for a honeymoon or anniversary. We cater to both large and small groups. Since we have only 8 cabanas, many groups rent the entire resort for their group outing. We have a staff that wants to make sure that you have a memorable stay with the Green Parrot - our goal is to have you come as a stranger, but leave as a friend. 2009 marks our 10th year in business - come and join us for our celebration.

We are located in southern Belize on the Placencia peninsula. The Green Parrot Resort overlooks the Caribbean. The peninsula is about 14 miles long and we are half way up the peninsula. In 2009 the peninsula road is being paved. The pavement was completed from the southern point of the peninsula to the Green Parrot in August. The entire road should be paved by 2010. Lots of development is coming - so we recommend that you come before he development changes the quaint nature of the peninsula.

We require a 1 night non refundable deposit on booking - contact us via email and we will get you a confirmation sheet. Balance of the accommodations must be paid 45 days prior to arrival. Cancellation received 21 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less the 1 night deposit.
