The house had been fully restored and now contains 5 individually equipped apartments of different size, as well as 2 guestrooms. The old wood truss ceilings, the cross-shaped vaults and the terracotta floor were maintained while modern decors and furnishings were added for extra comfort. There is also a 120 m2 hall with cross-shaped vaults and excellent acoustics ideal for concerts and parties. The house is built in such a way, that the guests cannot bother each other. The house is peacefully located in the protected area of Castagneto, in the Alta Maremma, between the picturesque and well known medieval town of Castagneto-Carducci, which is located on a hill less than 1 km away. The building is surrounded by a big garden with lots of flowers, oleander, hibiscus and laurel hedges, palm trees, a small orchard, an olive grove and a kilometer of large cork oak woods. |
