The Tallat House at Taw Mill is located in the heart of picturesque Devonshire, and promises a truly unique English holiday. The charming oak beamed cottage has beautiful gardens set in 28 acres of meadows and countryside bordering the river Taw. Tallat means apple or hay store and we have converted the ancient barn buildings into a very comfortable house that sleeps 4 people. The property has a 5 star listing. Massive Oak beams adorn the thatched property and the interior has been tastefully designed with all modern conveniences to make this a truly charming and comfortable dwelling. Entering through the thatched porch the fully tiled downstairs bathroom is on the left. On the right the fully tiled kitchen with oak units and beams leads into the dining area. Through the dining area and around the corner to the fully carpeted lounge room with fire place at the end. The first floor is reached by a beautiful hand made oak staircase and on this floor are the two double bedrooms and a bathroom with superb views over the surrounding land. |
