A very prominent property in Zanzibar known as Hamerton House is now available for short term lets. The house has historical significance as it was built by the British Lord Hamerton in the 1800's. The British High Comission thereafter used it as their weekend home until recently.  The house has hosted many high profile party's and leaders from abroad and within Tanzania & Zanzibar.

A self-catering house it is located on a cliff and neighbours the Ex President of Zanzibar Dr. Salim Amour, The American and Omani Embassy are its other neighbours. Tenant can access the beach which is literally a 3 minuite drive down to the shore. The house is very close to Stone Town (about 7 mins) and is maintained to a high standard. Currently the house is furnished with a mix of dhow wood furniture as well as Zanzibar antique style furniture. To give some basic facts:

- Massive Garden (the plot is about 2 acres)
- 4 en-suite bedrooms (2 kings and 2 queens)
- 1 guest WC
- All rooms have ocean views

- Large kitchen facing the ocean

- There is a small hut/gazebbo in the garden next to the cliff to relax or have a cup of tea
- Security is provided (2 guards at night/ 1 in the day time)

- Fully equiped kitchen with Gas/Electric stove, Oven, Washing machine, Fridge/Freezer, Plates, Glasses, Cups, Pots, Utensils to cook
- Clean Towels, Sheets & Toilet Paper and Soap is provided
- Maximum of 8 people (children under 3 stay free).
