The kitchen dining and lounge area are compact and well equipped with a double oven, microwave, sky TV and wifi access. The bathroom has an electric Mira Shower and a showere attachment over the bath. The cottage is surrounded by wooden decking and terraces with ornamental furniture in the garden including seated areas, a barbecue, oriental deck furniture a double leisure swing and chiminee for burning logs all year round. The garden leads on to the sloping paddock at the rear where you can climb to the seat at the highest viewpoint. A hop over the boundary fence takes you onto an old railway walk back into the village. A stream runs down the length of the garden. Guests can also use the loch garden with a jetty, slipway, mooring buoys, summer house and picnic tables and fishing is free without a permit from March 15th to October 6th. There are two hotels within 200 metres plus a waterports centre, village store and post office. Lochearnhead is so central that it makes the perfect base to visit tourist locations in every direction e.g, Oban, Fortwilliam, Inverness, Edinburgh Falkirk, Creiff, Callander, Balquhidder, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Stirling and more. Guests van fish free from the owners loch garden or buy a permit and hire a boat from Drummond Estates during the fishing season. Golfers, walkers, cyclists and climbers will be in their element here with a number of Munro's in the area and Sustrans national cycle route 7 following the old Callander to Oban railway line. There is abundance of nature, woodland walks and wildlife to experience as well as mountains, lochs and ancient forests. The area is steeped in history with Rob Roy McGregor buried only 4 miles away and ancient family clan chiefs still living in the region(McLaren, Stewart, McNab). There are many chef owned restaurants within a 15 mile radius offering quality dining using locally grown and reared products. Little Briar is a perfect base for exploring and for outdoor activities though equally perfect for relaxing and recuperating with a fantastic outlook over Loch Earn.
