Woltersdorf has a good infrastructure (restaurant, shopping, banks, doctors, chemists). Two natural lakes, Flakensee and Kalksee, are at a distance of ca. 1.5 km from the holiday home and invite swimming (sandy beach) and water sports in the summer. The promenade on the Flakensee, is the starting point for boat tours and steamboat cruises towards Berlin and the adjacent, vast riverscapes and seascapes (among others Lake Müggelsee, river Spree and Löcknitz). The center of the capital can be reached with public transport or with the car in less than 35 min. As tourist local recreation destinations apart from Berlin, one can reach for e.g. the Spree forest and the tropical swimming paradise 'Tropical island' in ca. 40 min and the untouched beauty of the nature park of Märkisch Switzerland (hiking, cycling and water tours) in a good 30 min. An 18-hole golf course in Strausberg can be reached in 20 min. |
