'I Cocconi' is a holiday home in a delightful area of Umbria. It is perfectly positioned for discovering real italian country life and its traditions. you can relax on the patio and in the spacious garden, surrounded by sheer tranquillity and great natural beauty. The house has been renovated with great care to the original architecture and is attractively furnished. It is on the outskirts of the village of scoppieto, near an archaeological site and a few minutes from the beautiful scenery of the Lake of Corbara. The historic tuff stone city of Orvieto is 15 km away. You can enjoy an OPEN AIR COMMUNAL SWIMMING POOL, just 1.5 km away, which is FREE ONLY FOR OUR CUSTOMERS!! You can also enjoy tennis, riding, fishing, rafting and parasailing. Cocconi is 2 km from Civitella del Lago: this beautiful little town is at an altitude of 476 metres and enjoys breathtaking views of the valleys, lakes and the mountains of Lazio and Tuscany.
Enjoying the nature and the summer breeze: At the house entrance there is an exclusive 300 sm garden with cypresses equipped with barbecue, garden furniture, table football. You can enjoy the garden fully, by taking a shower outside in the greenery, or tasting your 'aperitivo' and your summer dinners under the patio. The position over the hill grants naturally cool nights! Your relax won't lack anything! The old house structure of 'grandma's home': The house has been completely restored, but with full respect of the old structure, which has been keeped in every detail: the house develops on 3 levels, the first with kitchen and one bedroom, the medium level with the bathroom (with original 60 floors and mirrors) and the upper level with the 2 main double bedrooms. Original floors in the whole house as well as the small door and the low roof of the corridor which opens into the garden complete this special Holiday House. Enjoy a full immersion in the Italian culture and tradition! A very small village on a hill overlooking Lake Corbara and green valleys. Stunning views and itineraries in the nearby. Orvieto and its own main train station are 15 minutes away. From the holiday House you can reach Todi, Spoleto, Foligno, Perugia in 20-30min. Don't miss the Corbara Lake or Civitella del Lago, only 1,5 km away. Here you will also find the restaurant of the well-known Italian Chef Vissani. At a couple of kms: swimming pool (surrounded by nature!), horse riding, tennis, soccer,basket, parasailing, rafting. Scoppieto's archaeological site: Excavations carried out in Scoppieto, in the town council of Baschi, on the left banks of the Tiber, are bringing to light important structures related to a settlement belonging to the pre-Roman (from the end of the IV century BC) and Roman Age (till the beginning of the V century AD). The excavations are in progress and the most ancient stages are still unknown. Archaeological remains are exposed in the city Antiquarium of Baschi.
