House Camelia, a charming living house, deserves to be  an exciting, historical and a lovely place to spend your holidays on the Atlantic Coast. In 1910, a hunting manor named ‘The Woolsack ’was built by  Hugh Richard Grosvenor, Viscount of Belgrave and Duke of Westminster, which is now known as ‘Chateau Woolsack’. It is situated on the shore of Lake Aureilhan  near the village of Mimizan at the foot of the sea dunes of the Atlantic Coast. In the past this manor served the purpose of hunting and horse riding . Many famous people like Winston Churchill, Charley Chaplin visited this place, who came here to get relaxed, and in 1953, after the death of Hugh Richard this property was inherited by his personnel, and ultimately this hunting manor was transformed into separate beautiful living houses. East and South wing of the estate being occupied by ‘House Duchesse’, ‘Mimosa’ and ‘camelia’ Is covering the west wing, and rest surrounded by spacious garden.     

The houses, including Camelia, ensures total privacy, peace as they are well separated by hedges and fences. You can enjoy the    pleasing view of the Golf Course, can feel the quietness of the forests of Les Landes, and the vastness of the sea dunes behind.

You can reach the Château which is almost within 500 m. from the houses at the shore of the lake. The famous Golf Course of Mimizan lies directly opposite the houses. Presently it offers 6-holes (soon to be 9 holes). Even there is a short cut from the garden straight onto the golf course. Just 250m behind the houses is Lake Aureilhan. Indeed a lovely site, you can enjoy swimming, sailing, rowing and fishing, or an option to stroll along the charming “Route Fleurie”.

Ocean surfing available at the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean in Mimizan Plage distance just 4km. away by bicycle, there is a separate bicycle path is just in front of the house!, or 6km by car.

House Camélia offers two bedrooms measuring  60 m2 and is well equipped to accommodate 6 persons. 1 bedroom with master bed and 1 bedroom with 4 single beds. The interior observes chalet style. House Camelia  is well furnished and lovely decorated, it has a modern equipped kitchen.
The complete renovation is done in the year 2005. The front part of the house is being covered  by a 1900 m2 fenced garden wit h a terrace and BBQ oven. Bedlinen and kitchen towels can be provided at € 8 p.p. Endcleaning € 50.
