Property Description

Charming 300 year old house in Cellettes, near Mansle in the Poitou Charente department.  It has many original features with a well established enclosed garden bursting with grape vines and fruit trees. 

The house consists of lounge and open plan dining and kitchen for ease of entertaining, should you need to be indoors!  On the first floor are two bedrooms, one king size bed and one double, plus a family sized bathroom with shower, bath, bidet, toilet and handbasin.   The top floor has two further bedrooms and an ensuite.  This floor has two sets of single beds, plus a double sofa bed, a put you up bed, and a cot.

There are several barns to explore,  We have several bicycles for use by our clients (at their own risk).  There is ample secure parking for several cars.  

There is a BBQ and area for cooking.  An outside terrace which is shaded from the scorching sun is very welcome in the summer and has lovely views across the countryside, and ideally positioned to watch the sun go down over the swimming pool. 

We have a lovely private swimming pool that has a security fence to ensure safety requirements are met, with a grassed area for sunbathing.   The pool is illuminated for those who want to swim after the sun goes down!

There is a games barn with table tennis, darts and table top football.

The village of Cellettes is approximately one and a half miles from the town of Mansle where there are supermarkets, doctors, pharmacy, hairdressers, boulangerie, restaurants, etc.

The coast is approximately 90 minutes away. Cognac is 20 minutes by car.  Angouleme is 15 minutes drive or you could drive 5 minutes to the local train station and take the train which takes about 10 minutes. Much more relaxing way to travel!
