Location is perfect - only a taxi ride, or 10 minute stroll away from the resort centre, but at the same time having all the amenities on your doorstep. There is even a free bus service that takes you into there from outside the Atlantica centre, stopping at the Golf Club and back again!
Caleta de Fuste is a purpose built tourist resort with stunning beaches (one just over the road), marina, 18th century fortified tower and only 10 minutes
drive from the airport - taxi from the airport costs around 9 euros. Down at the Marina you will find diving, windsurfing and sailing. For the less sporty of us there are enough bars, restaurants, shops, pools and sun beds to keep us occupied! Pop up onto our private roof terrace and take a look over to the golf courses, another popular activity here.
One of the cheapest supermarkets on the island, Eurospar happens to be over the road at the Atlantica centre. Quickest and safest route to walk is by cutting through between McDonalds and the petrol station (it will take you 3 minutes), under the subway and you're there! Also at Atlantica you will find some designer clothes shops, children's clothes shops, jewellers, costume jewllery, kiddies bits
and pieces, pcs, playstation etc games shop, shoes and bags, designer sunglasses, hairdressers, bank, cinema, amusments, ten pin bowling, not to mention the restaurants, bars and cafes - everything from tapas to full english breakfast! At the entrance you will find good maps and informational newspapers, plus the timetable for a FREE bus that runs from the Golf Club, to Atlantica into town and back again! This is why I say a car is not essential.
The Resort Centre has everything you can want to eat or drink - you will find it! Check out those town maps, lots of adverts and I haven't heard or experienced a
bad one. Some I would recommend include Fado Rock famous for their steaks, opposite in the Castillo Plaza is Tommy Nutters - good home cooked British food and the best or roast I have had here! or how about the relaxing atmosphere at Resolution Bar in the Atlantica and excellent cuisine.
Other places to visit...Lots of places offer trips whether they be boat excursions over to Lanzarote, submarine trips around the marina, Oasis Park has wildlife, camels and a botanical garden, sand dunes near Corralejo, water parks, art museums, churches, village life, etc, etc...
