The Majestic Views is a unique 3 bedroom apartment in the Majestic Village. The apartment is situated in the heart of Kalk Bay and has sweeping views of False Bay, the Kalk Bay harbour and the Constantiaberg mountain range.
 
Each bedroom has it owns en-suite bathroom with luxurious fittings. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed, a gas fireplace and opens out onto the main patio. The other two bedrooms have two single beds in each room.

 

The apartment offers a home away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen which flows into an open plan dining room and lounge, from which you can enjoy the breath taking views. The apartment has two balconies, the main one faces the harbour and is the ideal place to enjoy a wonderful meal or relax whilest enjoying the view.

Kalk bay is a picturesque small fishing village with breathtaking views of False Bay and just 30 minutes drive from Cape Town

 

The name Kalk Bay was derived from the Dutch Term Kalk, meaning Lime. Originally the bay was home to a small community of lime burners. These lime burners extracted lime from seashell deposits in the area. The lime was then used in the construction of buildings in Cape Town.

 

In 1820, Kalk Bay housed 3 main whaleing stations in Cape Town. In those times, whaleing was the 3rd biggest income earner in the Cape. Whaleing was short lived as the whale nearly became extinct, and now a days you can see these amazing mammals swimming around in Kalk Bay during the whale season, which starts from about September.

 

Kalk Bay is extremely trendy with quirky little delis, coffee shops, antique stores, bars and Restaurants, situated along the cobbled streets. It is one of the last working fishing harbours left in South Africa and fresh fish can be bought straight off the boats.
