Amsterdam is 25 km away and easy to reach by bus from Edam. There is a little beach, over the dike where you can sunbathe or swim in the lake in the summer. The environment is beautiful and unspoiled, a quiet and safe area. Edam is a very charming little town, and there are lots of other old fisherman villages to explore. For museums, theatre and galleries you can go to Amsterdam. |
