Podere Zollaio is a small family run farm. We produce organic wine and extravirgin olive oil. Our 4 apartments are well equipped and comfortable and are idally located for couples and young families who wish to explore Tuscany or simply relax in the sun. Archi (45 m²-sleeps 4): spacious open plan studio apartment on the ground floor with well equipped kitchen/diner, 2 shower rooms, double bed, lounge area with satellite TV day bed and single sofa-bed. Direct access to the patio area with "al fresco" dining facilities. Chiocciola (39m²- sleeps 3 to 4): apartment on 2 floors connected by a winding staicase. On the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen/diner, relax area with satellite TV and day bed + access tot he patio area with "al fresco" dining facilities. On the first floor is the double bedroom with beautiful views over vinci village and the surrounding countryside and the shower room. Galleria ( 27m² - sleeps 3): first floor studio with a well equipped kitchenette, shower room, double bed, air conditioning, mezzanine level with single bed and relax area with satellite TV. Beautiful views over Vinci village and the surrounding countryside. Access to the patio area with "al fresco" dining facilities. Mansarda (40 m² - sleeps 3): first floor open plan apartment with small shower room on the lower level, well equipped kitchenette, living room area with satellite TV and sigle sofa bed, double bed, air conditioning and private balcony with beautiful views over Vinci and the sorrounding countryside. On the balcony you may meet Indiana Jones (Indy) our gorgeous cat that loves to admire the view from the balcony. Activities at Podere Zollaio: relaxing by the pool, relaxing in the whirlpool, contemplating the view in the patio with a glass of wine, admiring the view from the pool terace with another glass of wine, taking a stroll to the village, dining out, trying the famous florentine steak on the BBQ.These are just a few of the many activities you can enjoy while staying with us. For our younger guses we have a sand pit, a swing and a lot of space to explore. The owners are always at hand to answer any queries, give information or advice. |

Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo is a farming village, tranquil and unspoilt by mass tourism. It has 2 museums dedicated to the life and works of Leonardo, shops and restaurants. Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Pistoia and Volterra are all within easy reach either by train or by car. During the summer there are plenty of events such as village fairs, village markets and "sagre" where you can sample local dishes and produce. In the local area there are also some very good ice cream parlors that are well worth trying. People who like the finer things is life should try Slitti, a local chocolate-craft shop, or a visit to San Miniato, a village famous for its truffles (mushroom not chocolate). But is all this is too much, you can always sit by the pool and relax or if you feel full of beans you can take a walk up the Montalbano hill and follow one of the many trails. |
