Puerto Aventuras is centrally located in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico's Caribbean coast south of Cancun. The region's highlights are easily accessible by rental car, tour or bus. Day trips are available to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and Tulum. You can snorkel in tropical fish filled lagoons at the nearby Xcaret and Xel-Ha eco parks, or take a ferry directly from Puerto Aventuras to Cozumel Puerto Aventuras has white sand beaches and warm Caribbean waters. The reefs off shore are good for snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Many of the boats in the beautiful marina are available for pleasure and fishing charters, and there is a facility in the marina for swimming with dolphins. The 9 hole golf course and tennis courts are available to all Puerto Aventuras guests for a fee. The two Puerto Aventuras dive shops run daily dive trips and dive training courses. The Puerto Aventuras resort has all basic services on location. There is a selection of shops, international restaurants, and tourism services. For relaxation, there is a spa, beauty salon, massage therapists, and Reiki practitioners. There are several tour companies, a car rental agency, and bus and taxi service so you can see the rest of the Mayan Riviera. Puerto Aventuras has two small groceries stores, a pharmacy, and a post office. |
