Kingfisher’s Retreat is a spacious bungalow, adjacent to the owner’s property in the pleasant village of Honingham. It allows easy access to East Dereham or Norwich only a 20 minute drive away. Norwich is a fantastic place for shopping and provides many attractions: the Norman castle and the Romanesque cathedral. Nearby there are several Nature Reserves: Pensthorpe, Minsmere and the Norfolk Broads. You enter Kingfisher’s Retreat via a large kitchen/diner, which is fully equipped. The lounge is spacious with a TV, DVD player and a hi-fi system, patio doors overlook the ½ acre of owners garden, which you may use. Along the bottom of the garden is the river Tud with a variety of fish - trout, pike, dace. Sorry no fishing! It is also the haunt of kingfishers, herons, moorhens, mallards and a sparrow hawk. There is one bedroom of good size, which comfortably accommodates a double bed and a single bed. The single bed can also be placed comfortably in the lounge for the third person. |

Honingham is a tranquil village in the heart of Norfolk, close to the A47 allowing easy access to wherever you wish to go. There is a pub - the Honingham Buck only 100 metres down the road which serves delicious meals and local pints. Only 5 minutes away is a golf course at Barnham Broom and Kingfisher's Retreat has a variety of other courses nearby. The property is well situated to travel to the various nature reserves in norfolk, including Pensthorpe and Strumpshaw fen. The coast is approximately a 45 minute drive away where you can walk along the sandy beaches and see the multi- coloured beach huts. |
