Nerja is a vibrant Spanish town with quaint streets, whitewashed houses, shops and supermarkets. There is the famous Balcon de Europa where tourists and locals including artists and craftsmen gather in the evening to enjoy the views, have a stroll and relax in the many bars and restaurants. The surrounding area is very beautiful with scenic villages inland, and many sandy coves to be explored along the coast. The Marina del Este (6 km) is a medium-sized sports port with a beach and harbourside cafes. Nearby Almuñecar and Velez-Málaga have water parks. The famous Nerja caves are worth visiting. The Baviera golf course is about 18 km away. Fly to Malaga- Nerja is about 60km on dual carriageway from the airport -Cheap flights available from most airports with cheap airlines like Easyjet, Bmi baby, Monarch, etc. -There are many car hire firms where you can pick up and drop off at the airport. -There are always taxis available although these can be pricey.
