Property Description

This is a spacious detached villa in the quiet residential
area of Son Parc which is set in a fragrant pine forest. The villa is a bungalow
with only 3 steps to access the bedrooms - ideal for the elderly and young. The
drive way provides access from 2 roads. There is a private pool and a terrace
which offers plenty of sun and shade. The terrace offers beautiful views of the
forests and of Mount Toro, the highest point of the island. The villa is fully
furnished and very well equipped. There is a private tanning area on the roof
and an extensive garden, full of native cacti and palms. The villa also offers a
built-in BBQ next to which is an open dining area, privately located to the side
of the house. Son Parc is an ideal spot for people of all ages, offering a wide
shallow sandy beach, lots of shops and restaurants, a large golf course and
tennis courts. Not far from Son Parc, horse riding and diving facilities are
available. A car is highly advisable though buses do stop here.
There is a private rectangular pool situated right in front of the house. It
has a shallow end and a deep end. It has lights that can be switched on when it
gets dark. The pool is surrounded by a collonade of balustrades. There is a
large garden which is much loved. It has very old palms and cacti and other
native plants growing happily. There is a sunny private patio on the side of
house next to the built-in barbeque. It is an ideal place to relax with dinner
in the evenings. There are lots of plastic sun loungers and chairs which can be
moved to your chosen position. The terrace offers a lot of cool shade if you
don't fancy the sunny patio and pool areas.
The villa is ideal for the elderly, disabled or very young as there are only
a few steps. There is access from two roads to the villa. Both are quiet cul de
sac roads. The private pool has a shallow end and sturdy ladders for easy access
into the water.
The villa is a good option for disabled people. Please note however there are
3 steps to get to the entrance of the house, 3 steps to the bedrooms and a
step-down and step-up to access the pool from the driveway. There is a ramp to
avoid the entrance steps but may be too narrow for some wheelchairs. The villa
has had a disabled guest on many occasions, who is not fully wheelchair bound,
and who is very satisfied with the facilities.

maker, washing machine, plenty of crockery, cutlery, gadgets, & high quality
Prestige pot and pan set.
Living Rooms:
Very cosy. 2 sofas, 2 armchairs and a dining area, table and 6 chairs. The
living room is decorated to reflect the Son Parc surroundings, drawing
inspiration from the pine forests and red poppy fields. It also has accents of
Menorca's arabic influences.
The house is fully prepared for your arrival. All linen and bath towels are
provided and changed on a weekly basis. Further housekeeping services can be
arranged at extra charge. Welcome pack on arrival.

wonderful place to retreat and relax. Very private and peaceful and good value
for money. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we very much enjoyed fresh
fish from the market cooked on the barbeque. The swimming pool is a magnet. -

Coast/Beach
There is an award winning sandy beach approx 5-7 minutes drive away from the villa. The water is clean and clear with a shallow gradient making it ideal for children, elderly and disabled people. The beautiful fishing village of Fornells is approx 15 minutes drive away. Fornells offers a variety of water sports: windsurfing, sailing and water-skiing. You can come here to fish or simply head to the top quality seafood restaurants and admire the boats and passers-by.

Golf
The golf course is a 7 minute drive from the villa. You can view parts of it from the terrace. The course includes a driving range and a clubhouse with restaurant and bar. There are also tennis facilities on the complex. Golf Son Parc is a championship quality course and is ideal for beginners and experienced golfers alike. It is a full 18 hole course. Originally it was much smaller. The extensions made to bring it up to 18 holes were designed by Dave Thomas Golf Ltd, owned by the ex Ryder Cup player and designer of many top courses worldwide, such as The Belfry courses and San Roque on the Costa del Sol. The course is challenging and picturesque. Around the course are wooded hills and a protected wet zone with a rich variety of bird life. Travel
Mahon airport is 25 minutes by car or taxi. There are a few public coaches that run between Son Parc and Mahon but a taxi/car is essential between Mahon and the airport. A car is very much recommended and we can provide details of local car hire at competitive rates.

Distances
The following are approximate driving times: 5 mins to local supermarkets, bars and restaurants. 7 mins to beach and golf course. 15 mins to Fornells – water sports, fishing, restaurants, fishing village. 18 mins to Mercadal - comprehensive shopping, banks, excellent restaurants with typical Menorcan dishes. 25 mins to Mahon – capital and Ferrerias - shopping warehouses- leather goods etc. 40 mins to Ciutadella - former capital: citadel town.

Mahon, the capital of Menorca offers fantastic shopping, bars and places to eat overlooking a beautiful natural harbour. There are a number of markets worth visiting such as the fish market and beautiful churches. Admire the yachts along the port and enjoy a glass of Menorca's gin with some tonic.
