Terms & Conditions

Self Property rental insists that all owners/advertisers abide to the following terms and conditions.

We cannot accept your advertisement until these terms and conditions have been read and accepted.

General Information

Owner/Advertiser is responsible for accuracy of information that is displayed in advertisement for property rentals on this site.

All advertisements should comply with relevant UK Legislation including the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 (which covers false descriptions) and the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (which covers misleading prices). Advertiser/Owner agrees to indemnify Self Property Rental against all claims/costs arising out of any misleading information in the advertisement.

It is the responsibility of the owner/advertiser to ensure that they have the right to reproduce any digital images and/or photographs that are used within their advertisement. Owner/Advertiser agrees to indemnify Self Property Rental against all claims, costs arising out of any infringement of copyright of such photographs and/or images.

All images produced by Self Property Rentals from photographs supplied by owners/advertisers are the property of Self Property Rentals and will not be reproduced without permission from Self Property Rentals.

Self Property Rental accepts advertisements in good faith and expects that owner/advertisers will provide an accurate description of their property.

Self Property Rental accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided by owner/advertiser.

Self Property Rental reserves the right to edit the information supplied: - Inappropriate wording will be removed along with offensive text; text will be reduced if word limits are exceeded, and grammar and spelling will be corrected if necessary.

Self Property Rental reserves the right to determine the final design and layout of advertisements.

Self Property Rental will not be held liable for any loss arising out of such alterations.

Advertisement Information

The Owner/Advertiser is responsible for keeping advertisement details up to date and accurate, including all rental tariffs, availability, and contact information and property facilities on an ongoing basis.

Owners/Advertisers are expected to keep all information updated via password protected Members Log In area.

Links to Personal Website

Self Property Rental allows owners/advertisers to include one personal website link per advertisement. This link will be placed beneath the owner contact details. This website link must relate only to the property that is advertised on Self Property Rental. Self Property Rental reserves the right to refuse/remove links without notice.

Bookings

It is the responsibility of owners/advertisers to answer property enquiries generated via Self Property Rental accurately and promptly. All enquiries should be answered whether or not property is available for enquirers chosen dates. Failure to respond promptly and inappropriately reflects on Self Property Rental, deters visitors from Self Property Rental, damaging Self Property Rental business reputation and owner/advertisers investment in Self Property Rental.

Self Property Rental takes no responsibility for negotiations between property owners and site visitors making property enquiries. Self Property Rental will not accept any liability for problems arising out of those negotiations.

Renters are advised to confirm all the terms of the proposed rental contract prior to booking.

Owner/Advertiser is responsible for fixing the terms and rental fees paid by his/her customer.

Via the members area published prices can be amended so it is in the interest of both parties that prices and terms are agreed prior to any booking.

Self Property Rental advises that a legal contract is drawn up between owners/advertisers and tenants, a template for this can be found in our Members Log In section for ease.

Self Property Rental advises all owners/advertisers that full property insurance is obtained for their holiday property.

Refusal, Termination or Withdrawal of Advertising

Self Property Rental reserves the right to refuse any advertisement submitted.

If the advertisement has been paid in full on line a full refund will be made, if payment received by cheque this will be returned.

Under no circumstances will any compensation be payable by Self Property Rentals for any loss howsoever incurred, including loss of income, the time/cost involved in submitting advertisement etc.

Should Self Property Rental receive a complaint about a property, we reserve the right to remove that property from our website without notice, if in our opinion the complaint is reasonably substantiated.

Complaints could relate to accuracy of advertisement, unacceptable booking conditions and procedures, the condition and maintenance to the property advertised, in all cases the final decision will be made by Self Property Rentals.

Under no circumstances will Self Property Rental be paying any compensation or refund for any loss howsoever incurred, including loss of income, re-advertising costs etc.

Owner/Advertiser may withdraw their advertisement from Self Property Rental at any time by notifying us in writing (letter or email).

Liability

Self Property Rental cannot be held responsible or held liable for any loss or damages howsoever incurred, including consequential losses, such as loss of income, in connection with advertising on Self Property Rental.

Self Property cannot be held liable for loss of income due to last minute cancellations, damage to property, theft etc.

In the event of such problems arising resolution should be sought via the appropriate legal channels.

Service

Self Property Rental will endeavour to approve new advertisements and approve changes as quickly as is possible.

Due to the number of requests that we receive Self Property Rental are unable to guarantee response times.

Self Property Rental will endeavour as far as practical to ensure that the website is available on the internet at all times. However some breaks in service are inevitable and often beyond our control, we are therefore unable to guarantee 100% availability.

Fees & Charges

All charges made by Self Property Rentals and paid by the owner/advertiser, whether they are standard, discounted, featured etc are solely related to the initial setup, optimisation and integration of the owner/advertisers property advert. The duration of the display of the owner/advertiser property advert is at the discretion of Self Property Rentals and is completely free of charge.
