The Isle of Wight is an island 3km off the South Coast of England. It is classed as part of the Hampshire county and has 13 award winning beaches, with 3 of them being Blue Flag Beaches making it a popular tourist destination for its seaside resorts.

The Needles are one of the most photographed aspects of the Isle of Wight. They are a row of three distinctive chalk stacks that rise out of the sea with a lighthouse at the end, and are a distinctive landmark from the mainland on a clear day.
The island has a numerous regular ferry crossings to mainland England, to the towns of Lymington, Portsmouth and Southampton. Portsmouth and Southampton are both major cities and make for ideal days out whereas Lymington is a small quaint English town with plenty of independent shops, boutiques and tea houses.
The Isle of Wight is notorious for its wildlife and is one of the only places in the UK where the Red Squirrel is thriving. There are no Grey Squirrels or deer; instead there are many rare protected species such as dormice and many rare bats.
The island is also known for its world famous sailing at Cowes with the elite world famous Cowes Week being held normally in the first week of August where not only can you witness some of the most phenomenal modern day yachts, but also some of the most fantastic vintage yachts like the J Class’s.
The island is also host to many internationally famous concerts such as the Isle of Wight Jazz Festival, Bestival and the Isle of Wight Festival which this year is host to The Ting Tings, Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Stereophonics and many more!
