Property Description

 

Welcome to  three Self catering Cottages at La Maison Loufran

 

Lovingly decorated, nestled in a small tranquil hamlet between the pretty cathedral town of Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poeles, set in 2.5 acres surrounded by fields of rolling countryside.  The accommodation enables guests to enjoy the peace and tranquillity whilst still being within easy reach of the more popular coastal resorts. There are cycle lanes and  many leisurely walks to enjoy and take in the surrounding countryside. Within  easy reach of all the attractions of the Manche region, providing easy access to Mont-St-Michel and D-Day landing beaches.

 

 Le Jardin cottage semi-detached to our farmhouse, has an open plan beamed living room with  tiled floor a large timbered hearth, giving you a flavor of a French-style traditional farmhouse. The kitchen area includes a washing machine, gas cooker, micro-wave, fridge  pots, pans, cutlery crockery and a variety of kitchen utensils, iron and ironing board , tea towels and cleaning equipment are included in the rental and supplied on a weekly basis. The  cottage has an open staircase leading to the shower room and three bedrooms, two with double beds, the third with two bunk-beds, the bedrooms have bed side mats, wardrobes and chest of drawers, with bedside lamps, and a small library of books and games in each room, toilet rolls, hand and bath towels are included in the rental. Le Jardin cottage has its own secluded garden together with garden furniture a perfect venue for relaxing with your favourite book or magazine.

 

  Le Grenier and Le Poirier cottages are in a tasteful barn conversion, running alongside.  Each has spacious beamed open plan living rooms with log burning fire, comfy  sofa TV  DVD player and midi-hi fi  The kitchen area includes washing machine, gas cooker, micro-wave, fridge  pots, pans, cutlery crockery iron and ironing board plus a variety of kitchen utensils, tea  towels and cleaning  equipment  are included in the rental and supplied on a weekly basis.On the first floor of Le Grenier cottage  you will  find  three  beamed  bedrooms, two with double beds, one with two singles, with    wardrobes, bedside mats bedside cupboards with table lamps.  Le Poirier  cottage has one   double bedroom a further two rooms with twin  beds . The  spacious beamed shower room with shower cubicle wash basin,  toilet,  and mats, included   in the rental and provided on a weekly basis are,  toilet rolls and  hand and bath towels. Separated by a low laurel hedge is the children’s secure play area with swings, climbing frame, see-saw and boules. Tuesday the guests are invited to a BBQ combined with a game of rounders (not compulsory) can be competitive but fun and has proved very successful.

 

 The barn has an indoor games room with darts, table foot-ball and table tennis, entertainment regardless of the weather

 

 Bed linen , hand and bath towels are supplied on weekly basis inclusive in the rental

Local attractions:   The village of Hambye is a five minutes drive the village has two doctors, various shops a butcher two hairdressers, and  two bars one with a restaurants  Nearby is Hambye Abbey, founded by an order of Benedictine monks the most complete medieval monastery in Normandy after the famous 11th century island monastery Mont-St-Michel, Tuesday and Friday market day ,

 

  The picturesque spa resort of Granville 20kms Nort West west of Loufran is the childhood home of the late Christian Dior, his house is now a museum. The town center a buzz with shops boutiques and quayside seafood. Granville a lively seaside resort and commercial fishing port, ferries depart Channel Islands and to Isles de Chausey .

 

  Coutances is 18kms north of Loufran and here the Cathedral of Notre-Dame reconstructed during the 13th century, the city is also known for its art, history and international Jazz Festivals. Villedieu-les-Poeles 18 kms. founded by the knights of Jerusalem bringing skills in metalwork, market day Tuesday. The nearby zoological park set in 18 acres contains more than 50 species of animals.

 

 Mont St Michel magnificent architectural masterpiece one of Frances most famous sites Normandy is marked by the events of June 1944 D-Day museums and memorials are forceful reminders of the Second World.

at  the end of the holiday.

 

4.     In the event of cancellation prior to eight weeks before the start of the holiday only

 

the booking deposit will be forfeited. Thereafter, cancellation charges will be the full

 

rental. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSURANCE FOR BOTH MEDICAL

 

  AND PERSONAL COVER WHICH INCLUDES CANCELLATION CHARGES.

 

5.     The client agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the property and

 

Its contents and to leave it clean and tidy at the end of the holiday.We reserve the

 

 right to deduct cleaning charges from the damage deposit if the property is left in

 

 an unacceptable condition.

 

6.     In the event of any property breakdown the client is asked to report to the owners

 

     to enable repairs to be affected at the earliest possible time. We will not be liable

 

     for any temporary stoppage in the supply of public services to the property nor in

 

     respect of any equipment or appliance failure.

 

7.     The rental period will commence at 16.00hrs on the first day and terminate at

 

10.00hrs on the last day. If you plan to arrive earlier, please inform us and if at

 

 all possible we will do our best to have the property ready for you.
