Egypt holiday property rental

Why not visit Egypt, Africa’s most popular tourist destination! It has a huge variety of attractions to offer all tastes. Whether you’re looking for a cultural holiday, a family beach holiday, a busy city break, a relaxing cruise or even a sporting vacation - you will find its all here in Egypt.
You can also take advantage of staying in one of the many self-catering properties available to rent in this amazing country.
Many people travel to Egypt to see the extraordinary ancient sights and treasures, such as the famous pyramids, monuments like the Valley of the Kings and The Great Spinx, the ancient temples and many fascinating museums.
The Pyramids of Giza, which are situated near Cairo, are definitely well worth a visit. There are three main pyramids in Giza - the Great Pyramid of Khufu (or Cheops), The Pyramid of Kafhre and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaura. They were built in the 4th Dynasty (circa 4650 B.C) and each Pyramid is a tomb to a different King of Egypt. In front of the pyramids lies the Sphinx, a huge cat-like sculpture.
The Valley of the Kings, meanwhile, boasts an amazing collection of tombs including the famous Tutankhamun. Tutankhamun was not discovered until 1922 by archaeologist Howard Carter. The Valley of the Kings is located on the West Bank of Luxor. Not surprisingly, it is a huge tourist attraction.
But Egypt has much more to offer than archaeological treasures. It also has some of the best beaches in the world with its beautiful soft white sand. Check out the lovely Mediterranean beaches (the coast west of Alexandria) and the Red Sea beaches, too.
The Egyptian coasts also offer some superb locations for sporting activities, including many watersports. You could try snorkelling, deep sea fishing, parasailing and so on. The Red Sea is a popular area for divers and snorkellers. They’ve been coming here for years and years.
If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, then you might prefer a cruise on the Nile. It’s a great opportunity to see the sights by water. And you don’t have to spend a great deal of time on the boat, as there are half-day or one-day cruises to join. There are, of course, longer cruises you can take too.
Another way of seeing Egypt is by going on safari. There are various safaris you can join, too. There are full day jeep safaris, quad bike safaris (great fun!) and even an overnight camel safari.
Golfers are also catered for in Egypt. There are many golf courses, including Alexandria, Cairo, Luxor and on the Red Sea coast, and there is some amazing scenery around these areas.
However, if shopping’s more your thing, then you can visit the modern shopping malls and also the traditional shopping markets and bazaars in Egypt. Among some of the items which you are likely to see for sale (and may end up bringing home!) are silver, glass souvenirs, leatherwork, perfumes and Papyrus.
So why don’t you see what Egypt has to offer. There is plenty of good self-catering accommodation here, too. It’s no wonder that people come back to this country time and time again.
