Los Angeles, USA – the perfect destination for a self catering property rental

Los Angeles, which is the largest city in California and the second largest in the USA, is a great holiday destination that you can’t afford to miss!
With its fantastic weather, stunning beaches and numerous visitor attractions, you won’t know where to begin. There is also some great self catering accommodation in LA, which is good news if you’re looking for holiday property rental in this city.
There are, of course, some definite must sees in LA.
Make sure that you check out the LA district of Hollywood, particularly if you’re a movie buff. The famous Hollywood Sign is 450 feet long and its huge letters are 45 feet high. It’s a massive landmark that you just can’t miss!
Then there’s the popular Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Here you can see many celebrity autographs, handprints and footprints set in cement in its forecourt, including those of Warren Beatty, Nicolas Cage, Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Judy Garland, Richard Gere, Mel Gibson, Cary Grant, Tom Hanks, Marilyn Monroe, Eddie Murphy, Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Seagal, Sylvester Stallone, Elizabeth Taylor, Denzel Washington, Robin Williams, Bruce Willis – plus many more!
You should also visit the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you can spot many celebrities’ stars on the pavement, including those of Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Judy Garland, Alfred Hitchcock, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Elvis Presley, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Britney Spears, Steven Spielberg, Sylvester Stallone, Elizabeth Taylor, Renee Zellweger and even Lassie and Mickey Mouse. There are also lots, lots more names to see here, too.
Another highlight of your visit should be Universal Studios Hollywood, which is full of fun for the whole family. It boasts some amazing rides and shows, a fantastic Studio Tour – and a whole lot more besides. Here you will also find Universal CityWalk, which has cinemas, restaurants, the Gibson Amphitheatre (where you can see concerts) and some good nightlife.

If you’re in search for a beach, then you should check out LA’s Venice Beach, which is a popular tourist attraction and is famous for its street performers, fortune-tellers, artists and great atmosphere. There is, of course, plenty of surf and sand, too.
The world famous Sunset Boulevard is another must see in LA. This well known street stretches many miles length, from downtown LA to the Pacific Coast Highway at the Pacific Ocean. Here you will also find the famous Sunset Strip, which boasts rock clubs, restaurants, boutiques and nightspots.
Other popular LA sights include the Getty Center, which houses the J. Paul Getty Museum and has art and exhibitions, beautiful gardens and more. Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Tolerance, Griffith Park and Los Angeles Zoo are also worth a visit.
LA is clearly a perfect destination for a family self-catering holiday. One big child-friendly attraction (it’s great for adults, too!) not too far from LA is Disneyland, which is located in Anaheim. Disneyland is a must visit if you’ve got children with you – or indeed if you’re just a big kid at heart yourself!
During your stay in LA, you should also check out the fantastic shopping available. Not surprisingly, it’s a city brimming with malls and stores etc. One famous area is Rodeo Drive, an exclusive shopping street in Beverly Hills where you might spot a celebrity or two, as the stars are among those who like to shop here.
Also worth going to is LA Fashion District (which is in downtown LA), the Beverly Center (which boasts a huge number of shops, such as Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and much more) and the Los Angeles Farmer’s Market.
With such a variety of places to see and things to do, and so much choice of self catering accommodation, why not make Los Angeles your next holiday destination?
