"I must give a big thank you to Self Property Rental, myself and my husband have been caught in the downturn, slump, recession or whatever you want to call it.

Three years ago, in good faith, we put a deposit on a two bedroom apartment in the Algarve, we didn’t realise that we would be facing such a battle on the finalisation of the property build. We battled through and we finally completed on a property that was now not such an investment for us, thanks to the downturn in the market, a property that on paying our deposit we were assured would gain value and there would be lots of people looking to purchase. If we were to sell the property we would have been looking at a 20-30% loss.

Then we received a call from a member of the Self Property Rental team, they introduced us to their fantastic service, and after being convinced that an extra £100 to advertise my property with them was nothing compared to what it had cost me to date, so I thought what the hell!

I have to say that I was sceptical about it all but after a couple of months and the telephone enquiries and emails regarding the rental of apartment came through I knew that this was a £100 well spent. The majority of the enquiries we have been able to complete full bookings on and are already taking repeat and new bookings for next year.

So I would have no hesitation in recommending anybody in the same predicament as myself and my husband, of which I am sure there are a few, for those that have bought property as an investment and it has not worked out, I would contact Self Property rental, they are great and have a helpful back up team, and every promise that they have made me has come to fruition, on my first year I have almost covered half my costs on my property which I am very pleased with and I am sure that next year I will match my costs and more, I will be staying with Self Property Rental and am pleased that what was looking at a bad investment has now turned into a money making venture, and hopefully the market will change, and possibly in the future we will be able to look at purchasing another property for rental purposes only and myself and my husband can enjoy our holiday home as planned!"
